What is a Smartlet you ask? Think of it as a smart electrical outlet that is the first and most visible component to a public charging infrastructure for plug in vehicles. GMnext contributer Matt Kelly discusses Coulomb Technologies and the City of San Jose's charging station trial partnership with Richard Lowenthal, CEO of Coulomb Technologies at the Plug-In 2008 Conference and Exposition. Lowenthal also demonstrates how the their ChargePoint technologies works.
