What GM Did for Me
I was there
This is my story.
I came to the U.S. in 1958 at the age of twelve. They say that Jesus Christ was born in a manger -- I was born in the fields. At the age of 19 I was hired by GM and worked at the assembly plant in Linden, New Jersey. While working for GM I got married when I was 20.
I worked for GM 41 years. During this time I had four children, bought a house, sent three kids to college, and now I am retired. GM has given me the American dream that everyone dreams of.
