Hot Wheels® Chevroletor

Walk into Amaury Diaz-Serrano's basement and your jaw will drop. This GM designer has a passion for cars, and not just the life-size versions. So, when he was asked to design a Hot Wheels® car, he was beside himself. Amaury collects Hot Wheels® die cast toy cars and proudly displays them in a room he calls "The Man Cave." Amaury's sky blue race car called the "Chevroletor," is among the seven winners in the Hot Wheels® 40th Anniversary Designer's Challenge series. Chevroletor is based on a combination of the 1957 Chevrolet Corvette SS and several speed record cars from the 1930s. It will be rendered by Mattel as a Hot Wheels® car that will be part of the Hot Wheels® 40th Anniversary Designer's Challenge line that will hit stores in 2008. GM copyrighted the name for toy application.
