Saab Driving Academy (Day 2)
Day Two at the Saab Turbo X Driving Academy
Fasten Your Seatbelt, We're Hittin' 100!
It’s day two at the Saab Turbo X Driving Academy, and the action is non-stop!
21-year-old Kaylan Morley is not just your average Saab enthusiast. Kaylan has grown up around Saabs -- her dad restores them and her brother builds them to rally race. She works at a Saab dealership, owns six custom Saabs -- including a 2006 9-3 SportCombi -- and drives a highly modified 500+ horsepower Saab 9000 Aero as her daily ride. Because of these credentials, we gave Kaylan the opportunity to join other Saab aficionados at the Saab Turbo X Driving Academy at Road Atlanta, where they all pushed the new Saab Turbo X to its limits.
Experience the handling and power of the Turbo X with Kaylan as she careens down the straightaway at over 100 mph!

The 2008 Saab Turbo X is a limited-edition 9-3 (only 600 for the U.S., in either sport sedan or sport combi body styles) that pays homage to the 1985 Saab 900 SPG, a classic coupe known for its trademark black exterior treatment, three-arm alloys, and turbo engine. Thus, the Turbo X comes dressed in one hue -- metallic jet black -- and is treated to twin-spoke three-arm wheels and a robust 280-horse turbocharged V-6 that, thanks to 11.6 psi of maximum boost (up from 8.7 for the Aero's 255-horse 2.8 turbo) makes the X the brawniest 9-3 ever. More important, the X's 280 horses are routed via not the front wheels but rather all four, courtesy of a new Haldex 4 all-wheel-drive system.
Saab donated tuition to the Saab Turbo X Academy for the first 100 U.S. buyers of the new model. An adaptation of Saab's popular Aero Academy, it was a two-day course geared to the Turbo X - held at the Road Atlanta racetrack in Northeast Georgia.
