Replacement for Displacement
Hot rodders with an environmental conscience rejoice; your direct-injected, forced induction E85 salvation is chopped and channeled and ready to rumble.
And who said the small block was the only way to put the hammer down?
They call it the E85 Ethanol Coupe. We call it hot.
GM’s Performance Division took a replica 1934 Hot Rod and duplicated the car’s frame and body. This Flex Fuel Hot Rod now looks and feels like the track cars and speed racers of the 1940s and 50s. The sides of the hood open to reveal the high-powered Ecotec engine.
Inside the cabin, the Hot Rod maintains a racing-inspired minimalist theme. And, to make things even greener, hand formed sheet metal and earth friendly materials are used to trim both the cabin and the racing-style aluminum seats. The hot rod was revealed at the 2007 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Vegas.
