Plug-in Saturn VUE Electrifies at Plug-In 2008
Larry Nitz, GM executive director of hybrid powertrain engineering, discusses the Saturn VUE's Plug-In lithium-ion battery during the Plug-In 2008 conference in San Jose. The lithium-ion battery allows the VUE to double its fuel economy for about 20 miles. Greenlighted for production, the Saturn VUE Plug-In is an extension of GM's two-mode hybrid system taken to the next step.
