Pictures of Hope
The dreams of children captured on film. Celebrity photojournalist Linda Solomon shares her personal thoughts on a GM sponsored program that has touched her heart and so many young lives.
The Picture of Hope project provides cameras to low-income children and asked them to document their hopes and dreams on film. The pictures that resulted are as thought provoking as they are inspiring, revealing just how so many children yearn for the simple amenities most of us take for granted.

During the 2008 summer, Saturn and celebrity photojournalist/author Linda Solomon visited facilities that provide support services to women and children. Solomon conducted photography workshops at each location and the children learned photo composition and photography techniques. The children were given a one-time use camera and asked to capture photos that represent their hopes and dreams.
Eighty children in participated in the 2008 Pictures of Hope program and each of them will have one of their photos featured on a Pictures of Hope greeting card. These cards will be sold to raise money to support the facilities where the workshops were held.
