Opel
The Opel brand traces its origins to the manufacture of sewing machines in Germany in 1862. The first Opel vehicle was built in 1899: the brand and its manufacturing operations were acquired by GM in 1929. Today, Opel brand vehicles are sold throughout Europe and Asia.
