Celebrate with the National Corvette Museum (NCM) this Labor Day weekend, September 3-6, 2009 for an event that has been in the planning stages for over three years. Route Captains have been working to make each route as spectacular as possible!

The Museum will be celebrating its 15th Anniversary in style. Thousands of Corvette caravan friends will participate in this thrilling journey. The annual Labor Day event is known for festivities including the Corvette Hall of Fame, seminars, historic video presentations, road tours and other grand activities – but this year offers many “first of firsts” for participants!

Special Caravan ’09 displays include a place for the "Firsts and Lasts;" showing the first and last model of each generation of Corvettes, entertainment in the Museum's amphitheater, daily arrivals of Corvette Caravans from across the U.S., the completed renovation of the entire Corvette Museum ready to tour and enjoy, and so much more are in store! Folks who have registered for the event will enjoy four days of road tour excursions, autocross, parades, autograph sessions, auctions, special video presentations of the Museum's ground breaking, grand opening and past events, presentations by the legends of Corvette history who are part of the 2009 Corvette Hall of Fame as well as past recipients, auctions, three Corvette raffle drawings, a temporary one-of-a-kind concept cars display and much more during this grand event. The pre-registration deadline ended August 6, 2009; however on-site celebration registration will be available.

Caravans will depart from various locations during late August and early September 2009, all timed to arrive for the NCM 15th Anniversary Celebration on September 3-6, 2009. A view of Corvettes for miles is a sight to see and the staggered arrivals give participants a chance to both be greeted on arriving and be greeters for the next group. In 3 previous caravans, thousands of Corvette devotees joined together from all over the globe to enjoy the experience, live the Corvette Lifestyle, create history and celebrate a unique Museum event.

In 15 years, the NCM it has grown from a mere dream to the comprehensive organization you see today - the "Gateway to all things Corvette." Whether it's shows, fun events, archives, deliveries, track schools, corrals or just a casual visit, the Museum offers a varied experience, one that is unique within the automotive world. Add to that a road trip to top all others and you have the best 2 weeks imaginable.
