My Super 8 Nova
It was a love story written in 1973 ... I was a senior ... my dad, a GM Fisher Body employee in Marion, Indiana. We never had a "foreign made" car OR Ford in our garage my whole life, with the exception of dad's Model A Ford.
In the Fall of 1973 ... my mom and dad went shopping and drove home a brand new, two-tone, super 8 charged Chevy Nova ... my absolute favorite car. It had a dark brown body, with a tan color hard top ... Delco radio, bench front seat, big ole' steering wheel and ran like a dream. There wasn't one thing I didn't like about it ... naming it Nadia Nova. (since all my cars have had names). I wish I had a picture, but then again, the "flashcube" just never worked right on my little Instamatic Kodak camera.
At age 54 ... I still drive GM cars … good memories ... great cars!
