My New Hire Experience at GM
I was there
My wife's brothers all worked for GM and kept asking me to come and work with them. I put in an application at the Euclid Plant and was hired. Floyd Channell was told by the foreman "He is your brother-in-law and you are given a week to train him."
It started a great career for me. After working at the Euclid Plant for a year I transferred to the Lordstown, Ohio Plant when it was just opening. I worked there for over 20 years and then transferred to the Saturn Plant in Tennessee when it was just opening.
I retired in 2000 having a great life working with good people. I would not change a thing and appreciate General Motors.
