The initial experts for the Wiki were selected by GM based on their demonstrated knowledge of the company’s history. The inaugural team is composed of employees, retirees and associates. We hope to identify and recognize many more experts through the GM Wiki experience.

Become an Expert

To become an expert, you must be a significant contributor to the Wiki and you must be recognized by your peers (the other experts) for your exemplary knowledge and accuracy within a particular subject area.

Top contributors will be identified on a regular basis. Following review of the candidate’s contributions, expert status may be granted along with all the privileges associated with that position.

Expert Perks

As a participating subject matter expert, you will receive special recognition on the wiki. You will be listed with the other experts and sanctioned to post your bio telling other wiki users a little about yourself. Your bio can include some self promotion, links to your personal web site, club site or any other information you deem appropriate.

You will have direct access to the GM Media Archives and Heritage Center researchers to obtain referential material or media for your stories. You will have enhanced editorial priviledges on the wiki and access to the wiki administrators.

You will receive a gift certificate to gmphotostore.com in appreciation for your assistance.
