Lloyd Family for GM
I was there
I am proud to say that I am part of 118.8 years of my family working for General Motors. My father was working in construction and he helped build the Fisher Body plant in Pontiac, Michigan. He hired in at GM when his construction job was finished. He worked at that plant for 43.6 years.
In May of 1964, I was hired and worked there until the plant was closed. I then went to the Lake Orion plant where I worked for 20.2 years. I retired from there July 1st in 2002. My brother worked at the Pontiac plant for 35 years.
So you can see that my family is a General Motors family. I thought that I would let you know that the Lloyd family is a true GM family.
Yours truly,
Mr. Jack E. Lloyd, Local 5960
