His Life was Design
Eero Saarinen was born in Finland. Eero and his family moved to the United States when he was just 13. He came from a family of design geniuses. His father Eliel was a renowned architect and town planner, and his mother was an artist in the textile industry.
That passion for design was passed on to Eero and he made the most of his talent. He trained at the Cranbrook Academy of Arts in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and continued his studies at Yale University.
Among his other masterpieces is the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, Missouri, the TWA Terminal at Kennedy Airport in New York City and the Dulles International Airport in Washington D.C.
