GM Style 2008: Corvette ZR-1
The main attraction of GM Style 2008? The Corvette ZR-1. The final act kicked off with Detroit homeboy Kid Rock surrounded by models in William Rast Denim Collection by Justin Timberlake/Trace Ayala and then, fittingly, in his Made in Detroit clothing line. Jeff Gordon drove the 2009 Chevy Corvette ZR-1 (with 638-hp 6.2 Liter LS9 supercharged aluminum-block V8 engine), the fastest production vehicle ever produced by GM, on stage and halfway through the performance the first-time public debuted Corvette ZR-1 was hoisted 15 feet over the stage on an elevated turntable.

General Motors' GM Style 2008 is a car studded music and fashion gala that kicked-off the 2008 North American International Auto Show. Similar to last year's inaugural GM Style event, the invitation-only affair featured the world debut of GM global concept and production cars, as well as favorites revealed during 2007. All the GM Style showcase vehicles will be introduced - fashion runway style - to live music. The event was held in Detroit on Saturday, January 12, 2008 in a football field-size, climate-controlled pavilion/tent on the Detroit River, just east of GM's Renaissance Center Global Headquarters.
