GM Mexico Becomes Green, 30 Days Before the Celebration
Exactly 30 days before GM's first 100th birthday, at GM de México, we decided to save the planet!
On August 16th, employees from GM de México, with the Fundación Selva Negra and Juan Calleros, member of the famous rock band Maná, met the goal of planting 5,000 trees in Toluca, in the State of Mexico.
GM de Mexico has been a member of the GM family for 73 years, and we are a company that is committed to our environment. In this first 100 years, GM de México becomes green to be part of GM's Centennial history.
Happy Birthday GM!
SELVA NEGRA FOUNDATION
"The problems of the environment have always been one of the worries of Maná, including many themes related to the ecological crisis that the planet is experiencing....For Maná, going from saying it to doing it, with regards to preserving the planet, consisted of creating The Selva Negra Foundation (Black Forest Foundation), which collaborates actively with governments to guarantee our kids a livable planet. There is a lot more to do, and Maná is an organization that does not like to sit idle during rough times. Since its creation, Selva Negra has financed and supported many important projects in favor of a healthier environment...."
