GMOO - GM Overseas Operations
GM Overseas Operations (GMOO) was established in 1938 with headquarters in New York City as the umbrella for all GM automotive operations outside the U.S. and Canada and all U.S. and Canadian exports. It was relocated to Detroit in 1978 and integrated into its worldwide passenger car and components operations as the General Motors Overseas Group, which became General Motors International Operations in 1992.
