Fisher Body-GM
I was there
I went to work at Fisher Body, Lakewood Plant, Atlanta in 1958. I worked there 31 years - retiring in 1989. I was there when they celebrated their first 75 years. My family and I are very loyal to GM autos. Over the years I made a lot of friends and still keep in touch with some. Some I worked with at Fisher and others I met when I went to the Chevrolet side. Over the years I worked in every department.
The Lakewood Plant was built in 1928 and closed in 1990. I was sad to see it close.
