First Titanium Exhaust System on a Production Corvette
I was there
Submitted by Zoltan Varga
The Corvette Z06 for 2004/2005 Anniversary edition with 400 HP needed a mass savings to get into the next lowest weight class. The chief engineers Tadge Juechter (current) and Dave Hill (past) were instrumental in working with Arvin Automotive and Timet Corporation to accomplish this.
I received the Chairman's Award for a reward; along with Bob Anderson, the exhaust system EGM at the time. The Corvette is always looking for new technology to lead GM.
