Cadillac Baldrige Award
In 1990, Cadillac won the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Award for Quality. Cadillac was, and remains today, the first and only automobile manufacturer and brand to win this most difficult competition. Sponsored by the United States Department of Commerce, the award was personally presented on December 13, 1990, to Cadillac by President George H. W. Bush. This award best signifies the determination of Cadillac Division to demonstrate the finest in automotive quality and the committment of Cadillac employees to this ongoing objective.
The significance of this achievement warrants an inclusion of it in the GMnext Cadillac history and story of excellence provided for all to see.
