A Lot of Changes
I started to work for GM at Delco Electronics in Kokomo, Indiana in 1965. That was the best day of my life! We basically made radios for the GM cars. Then we started making tape decks and speakers, etc… What a wonderful place to work. Our company gradually kept changing and we ended up doing integrated circuits and made the computer chips for so many parts of the car. Everything had to be done under a microscope. There was processing done with etching circuits into silicone wafers - just like photo processing. What a wonderful experience.
I thank GM and the UAW for giving me a great life and the ability to retire at an early age to enjoy with my older husband. If not for you, I wouldn't have had the wonderful years I did with him before his passing this year. Thank you so much!
