A Fashion First in Dubai
For the past couple of years, General Motors has held a series of GM Style events at various major auto shows around the world. The shows bring together an assortment of GM concept and production cars along with various celebrities in a runway fashion show.
Culture, style and GM's hottest vehicles came together for the first ever 2007 GM Style charity event in Dubai. Proceeds from ticket sales went to the Dubai Autism Center.
A-list Arabic celebrities and musicians ushered GM's finest cars and trucks on stage with a Mideast flair that captivated the crowd. Maureen Kempston Darkes, Group VP and President GM Latin America, Africa and Middle East discusses the impact.

GM Style Dubai featured 20 GM vehicles including the World Premiere of the 2008 GMC Terrain, as well as the customized Middle East Cadillac Escalade from the “soon-to-be-launched” Escalade Personalization Program. In addition, there was the Regional Premiere of 7 new GM vehicles including the 2008 Tahoe Hybrid. As an added bonus GM presented 5 concept cars: EFIJY, HUMMER Open Top, Saab Aero X, Chevrolet Camaro and Chevy Volt.
