GM held an online poll in 2007 to determine which of these three concepts was most popular. More than 1.8 million votes were tallied and the Beat won the poll. A production car based on the Beat, the Chevrolet Spark micro car, was revealed in an official photograph in January 2009. The Spark will make its world debut in full production form at the Geneva Auto Show in March 2009. Sales begin in Europe in the first quarter of 2010, followed by other markets around the globe. GM said the Spark would go on sale in the U.S. in 2011.
