2005, Saturn Launches a New Hybrid System

GM introduced a new affordable hybrid system with the 2006 model year Saturn VUE. Using a belt alternator starter, this was the first of three new hybrid systems introduced on GM models beginning in 2005.

2007 Saturn VUE Green Line Hybrid's front and rear wheel liners contain approximately 20% recycled material. Each model year, over 12,150 pounds of recycled material can be used in the manufacture of these parts which reduces energy consumption and diverts waste from landfills.
