2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Pace Car

In the spring of 2003 I purchased my 2000 Monte Carlo SS Pace Car from Bob Jeanotte Buick/GMC/Pontiac in Plymouth, Michigan. It had 33k miles at the time and had been well maintained by the original owner.
I’ve since put 100k miles on it and it’s been a great trouble free vehicle that I enjoy driving and maintaining. My pace car is one of 2,222 factory Y92 replicas based from the Monte Carlo Pace Car that paced the 1999 Indy 500. The exterior is Torch Red with silver pace car checker flag decals along the sides and silver lower trim. It has Taz emblems on the trunk and lower quarters, a Monte Carlo banner across the top of the windshield and Brickyard style rear spoiler. The interior is ebony with red leather seat inserts, shifter, steering wheel, bowtie headrests and door accents. The factory replicas were fully loaded with all available options.
GM’s Century Cruise pays tribute to GM’s past and the passion owners have for their vehicles. On Saturday, August 16, 2008 this vehicle and more than 100 other classic GM vehicles will cruise from the GM Global Headquarters at the Renaissance Center up Woodward Avenue to the heart of the Woodward Dream Cruise in Royal Oak and the surrounding suburbs. One of these vehicles will be crowned “top cruiser” based on a text voting campaign.
