We are Brad and Pam Meszaros. We live in Plain City, Ohio, a small town west of Columbus. My own a small insurance and financial firm and my wife works in the auto manufacturing industry.
I have been a Corvette fan for 25 years, but due to family obligations was never able to purchase one. In 2001, I leased a 2001 Camaro and got the feel of the LS-1 and 6 speed transmission. It was fun to drive, but still it was not a Corvette. Late summer of 2002, I married my wife, Pam . Then in 2003, I heard that General Motors and Chevrolet was putting on a celebration in Nasville Tennessee to celebrate the Corvette's 50 years anniversary. GM and Chevrolet put on a excellent show and my love and want of a Corvette just grew stronger. After spending a couple of days in Nashville, seeing the sites, and looking at all the Corvette displays, I decided that I just had to have one.
On our way home, we decided to stop at the National Corvette Museum (NCM). As we traveled north on I-65, and got closer to the NCM, the line of Corvettes getting of the exit was a site to behold. Once we finally got to the museum, for a 35 year Corvette lover, this probably was heaven. As soon as we walked into the door, my wife and I immediately complete the application for a family membership.
In November 2003, the lease on the Camaro was up, so I turned in back into the dealership and began search for the year, color and options I wanted. I contacted my client who was a salesman at the local Chevrolet dealership was after searching for 4 months, I was able to find my ideal Corvette. C-5, year 2000, color Yellow, transmission, 6 speed with Heads Up Display.
We purchased our Corvette one week before the C-5 birthday bash and headed south to Bowling Green Ky and experienced our first NCM function. We met many Corvette enthuisists , had a great time and have been to every Bash since then.
It is a real honor to be chosen as the representative for the model year 2000 Corvette at Mo torama II. We are hoping to meet many new friends and have a great time.

When GM celebrates the beginning of its next 100 years on September 16, 2008, 55 Corvettes will be on display outside its World Headquarters at Detroit’s Renaissance Center. The Corvettes are in fact the Historic Motorama II, a caravan from the National Corvette Museum (NCM) which is comprised of one example from each of the 55 years of Corvette production. The caravan will depart from the National Corvette Museum on September 10th with stops along the way. People attending the GMnext Day activities on September 16th will be able to view the Corvettes before and after the official program.
