A 1997 Camaro SS, 30th Anniversary Edition. A convertible with an automatic transmission. This was my late husband's toy. My husband, Paul Ananich, a retiree of General Motors.
In the Spring of 1999, he decided he wanted to have a 30th Anniversary Camaro. It took him until September, 1999 to find just the car he wanted. And if I remember correctly, he had it shipped here from Pennsylvania. He loved this car, only drove when the weather was good, never in the rain or snow. He really enjoyed this car. Now that he is gone our grandchildren have their eye on it. Especially the boys. They, not only like it because it's a "cool" car but because they know it was Grandpas....
GM’s Century Cruise pays tribute to GM’s past and the passion owners have for their vehicles. On Saturday, August 16, 2008 this vehicle and more than 100 other classic GM vehicles will cruise from the GM Global Headquarters at the Renaissance Center up Woodward Avenue to the heart of the Woodward Dream Cruise in Royal Oak and the surrounding suburbs. One of these vehicles will be crowned “top cruiser” based on a text voting campaign.
