1979 Chevrolet El Camino

My name is Terry Smith retired 9 years from GM. After I was retired for 5 years, I bought my 1979 El Camino I've taken it to two different car shows and won 4 fists and a second with the vehicle. It has a 350 engine and runs pretty good.
I really like my El Camino. It's my third El Camino during my years of driving (1985,1977 w/454 engine and this 1979 El Camino). So you see I really have a passion for El Caminos
GM’s Century Cruise pays tribute to GM’s past and the passion owners have for their vehicles. On Saturday, August 16, 2008 this vehicle and more than 100 other classic GM vehicles will cruise from the GM Global Headquarters at the Renaissance Center up Woodward Avenue to the heart of the Woodward Dream Cruise in Royal Oak and the surrounding suburbs. One of these vehicles will be crowned “top cruiser” based on a text voting campaign.
