...I am a GM retiree who spent my entire career at the GM Tech Center, Chevrolet Engineering, Mid Lux, and them NAO.
I have owned this Corvette since 1980, and did a frame off restoration from 1980 to 1982. It was honored to be invited to GM’s 75th Anniversary Expo in 1983 at the GM Tech Center. It was one of 111 Significant GM vehicles selected for display, which included only 7 Corvettes. The following year it was selected for the cover and feature article in Corvette News in the Spring 1984 issue. It was the last owner restoration documented in Corvette News.
This car has been driven every year since I have owned it and it did "See The USA in Your Chevrolet" on a 7 month journey around our beautiful country with our motor home after I retired....give testament to the drivability, longevity, versatility and pure fun of owning a classic Chevrolet Corvette. It was a blast driving it in the mountains of California, Arizona, and Utah. As a side note, I have been to every one of the Woodward Dream Cruises as I think I have gasoline in my veins.
