for participation in the the 2008 GM Century Cruise
1963 Buick Riviera. As you know a real milestone car for GM styling…and a testament to chief Bill Mitchell’s genius.
- Original, authentic and unrestored survivor showing just 20,340 miles. (No lie)
- Original paint, chrome, interior and engine.
- Spare tire has never been used and likely has "1963 air" still in it.
- Was delivered new in the Fall of 1963 in Detroit and one of 154 "base model" Rivieras.
- We purchased it from the original owner in 1996.
- Has participated at the Eyes on Design Show and the Concours d'Elegance at Cranbrook.
- Has served as reference vehicle for Riviera restorers.
GM’s Century Cruise pays tribute to GM’s past and the passion owners have for their vehicles. On Saturday, August 16, 2008 this vehicle and more than 100 other classic GM vehicles will cruise from the GM Global Headquarters at the Renaissance Center up Woodward Avenue to the heart of the Woodward Dream Cruise in Royal Oak and the surrounding suburbs. One of these vehicles will be crowned “top cruiser” based on a text voting campaign.
