1962 Chevrolet Corvette

As a retiree, with over 34 yrs of service with General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC), I'd guess that between personal, company, and PEP vehicles I've probably driven every car GM produced from the late 60's to current time. With that said, my one real passion was always for a Corvette, like everyone saw and dreamed of while watching the TV series Route 66.
...my dream ride, a 1962 Roman Red, Fuel Injected, 327/360 hp Corvette. The pictures were taken while cruising Rte 66, on the Chain of Rocks Bridge (just North of the old St. Louis Corvette plant)....With three headquarters assignments during my career I'd love to return to Detroit for some fun and relaxation.
GM’s Century Cruise pays tribute to GM’s past and the passion owners have for their vehicles. On Saturday, August 16, 2008 this vehicle and more than 100 other classic GM vehicles will cruise from the GM Global Headquarters at the Renaissance Center up Woodward Avenue to the heart of the Woodward Dream Cruise in Royal Oak and the surrounding suburbs. One of these vehicles will be crowned “top cruiser” based on a text voting campaign.
